A programmable 10-band parametric EQ, compressor/ limiter/noise gate, delay, X-over function, top-quality pink noise and sweeptone generator are available at each output, allowing you to conveniently adapt the Fohhn system to the room acoustics oryour own personal requirements.

Standard amplifiers combined with Fohhn controllers
Standard amplifiers / 100V amplifiers / multichannel amplifiers combined with Fohhn FC-9 DSP system controller.
All Fohhn® speaker systems can be operated in combination with standard amplifiers (e.g. Bittner amplifiers). Each Fohhn speaker model has a linear design, neutral sound adaptation function and is fitted with an integrated crossover with electronic tweeter protection.
We recommend integrating the FC-9 Fohhn DSP system controller for applications involving standard multichannel amplifiers, 100V amplifiers or monitored amplifiers according to EN 60849.
The FC-9 guarantees maximum sound quality, operational reliability and performance features that no other standard controller can offer in combination with our Fohhn speakers.

Input switching contacts
The FC-9 has 8 input contacts.The inputs can be utilized to switch between the different presets of the FC-9, as well as other Fohhn-Net devices. For instance, a FC-9 preset and a preset of an active Subwoofer can simultaneously be switched with one FC-9 input connector. To achieve this, the active subwoofer must be connected to the FC-9 via the Fohhn-Net interfaces. With two inputs and two pushbuttons (shutters) connected to them, a volume control can be realized as well.
The input contacts which are activated by opening both contacts from one input or connecting them with one another. Push buttons and switches can be connected to the input contacts.
Button connected: the button can load a certain preset (closes contact) or control the volume (increase volume) when pressed.
Switch connected: two different presets can be loaded by actuating the switch (contact closes / opens).
The 8 input switching contacts can be easily configurate via Fohhn-Net Remote Control Software by the installer.

Remote control / Remote monitoring
The system´s network compatibility and remote control options via a laptop provide you with assistance while you work. You also have the option of linking the FC-9 to a media control system.

Integration in media control systems
Compatible with media control systems. For example, all end devices with integrated Fohhn audio DSPs can be operated by AMX or CRESTRON media control units via the FC-9. Drivers for AMX and CRESTRON are provided by Fohhn. Operation via 8 make contacts or RS-485 protocol.

Integration of Fohhn systems into EIB bus technology. One building, one concept, one system.
The 8 close contacts of the FC-9 Fohhn-Net Remote allow the integration of Fohhn systems in bus technology, including all operating comforts. The relay contacts in the distribution box control the 8 close contacts of the FC-9 Fohhn-Net Remote and make integration in other bus systems easier as a result.

Integrated Fohhn DSP technology offers a host of possibilities for implementing your sound concepts. The equipment includes two separate DSP engines and integrated speaker database for all Fohhn speaker types, which is what makes our DSP system controllers so unique.
The speaker database is based on an algorithm specially developed for each speaker, which protects bass, mid and high frequency drivers in all performance classes and guarantees outstanding sound and maximum operational reliability. 5 professional audio devices offer valuable benefits on an every day working level: 10-band parametric EQ, delay, compressor/limiter, noise gate and crossover allow the user to adapt the audio system perfectly to sound requirements, room acoustics or personal preferences.

Amplifier calibration function CAS
Perfect adaptation to all standard amplifiers through automatic calibration function CAS and integral amplifier database.
The FC-9 must have access to the amplifier data (amplification, maximum output voltage) in order to provide maximum protection for your speakers.
The FC-9 gives you the option of storing the data of up to 100 amplifiers and then retrieving this data again when required. The FC-9 can automatically calculate the corresponding performance data for any amplifier. The measured values appear on the display, can be edited if necessary and then stored under a separate name.
You can then load the stored data to all 6 output channels. Needless to say, you can assign a separate amplifier to each output channel.
When an amplifier preset is loaded, the performance data is calculated with reference to the speaker data and the multiband limiter on the FC-9 is set automatically.

Bittner amplifiers
In addition to our special Fohhn® DSP amplifiers, we also offer the complete range of amplifiers manufactured by Bittner Audio for low-ohm or 100 volt applications. Bittner Audio offers solutions such as multichannel amplifiers with eight standard channels and important features for integration in electroacoustic emergency warning systems according to DIN EN 60849 (VDE 0828). Configuration
To configure the FC-9 the Fohhn Audio Soft V3.0 or later and Fohhn-Net Remote Control Software V1.4 or later is indispensable. For connecting the it to a PC the Fohhn-Net Adaptor NA-1 is necessary.
